Cool
and spacious on the second floor, the Iris is decorated in shades
of blue and yellow. Windows across the entire north wall provide
a view from the queen sleigh bed of Grizzly Peak and the foothills
of the Cascades. The sitting area features a homey electric fireplace
with oak mantel and includes a twin daybed to accommodate a third
guest.
The
Iris bathroom with its slant ceiling and sky light sits under
the canopy of the Douglas fir standing sentry at the front of
the house. When JP Beaumont stayed in the Iris room in
JA Jance's mystery, Failure to Appear, he
had a bathtub but no shower. Our recent complete renovation of
the Iris bathroom has added a neo-angle shower with rainforest
showerhead. We're thinking Mr. Beaumont needs to come back
for another visit.
